WCAC WEEKLY BULLETIN ( March 30, 200 8 )

ANNOUNCEMENTS [ * = new item]

• *Missions Fund Update: As of last week, our church's giving to the Missions Fund for this fiscal year totaled $90,311.16 with $4,688.84 remaining to raise of the $95,000 annual goal by 3/31/08. We give thanks to God for our church family's continued faithfulness .
• *Short Term Missions Designated Fund Update: Our church's short-term trips are supported through this fund including the Holland trip just past.  So far, our church family has provided $$$11,212.41 of our annual goal of $15,000, with $3,787.59 left to raise by 3/31/08.
• *Please sign up(deadline: today) for 30th Anniversary Banquet (4/12) in the lobby so that we can plan for the event. About 70 have signed up so far.
• We are recruiting singers for a combine choir for 30th Anniversary (4/13) Sunday worship. Three practices: 3/30, 4/6, and 4/12. Any Christians 12 and above are welcome to sign up with Lillian Yeh.
• *Please read Nominating Committee’s notice & form in the Lobby. Deadline: April 6th .
• *Apr 5, 2008 - Expressing God in the Arts from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Please come enjoy a night where youth will use art to express God. The multipurpose room will be filled with paintings, drawings, photographs and much more. The sanctuary will then have a program where there will be performances. The youth group invites the whole church to come and join us.

• *Please pray for health and healing (Short-term): Annie Shum, Liesel Mui, Biu Yu's sister Fiona, Pauline Leung (Long-term): Frances Wong, Hui-zen Luo , May Sanchez, Wilson Cheung, Hai-qing Wang’s father, Thomas Luc, Ernest Li, Gang Wu, Cassandra Leung’s mother, David Heng, May Cheung, Wing Mui, Chu Tzeng, Camen Ong, Mei Wah’s father, Lisa Tsang’s father, Lency Wong, Liberty Chen’s brother, Lillian Yeh’s father, and Mark Lu’s father.

ENGLISH MINISTRIES  

• *Today at 11am, please join us in the fellowship hall for an hour of prayer, led by the youth.
• *Next week in worship, our preacher will be Dan Taylor, a graduate (MDiv) of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School who works with Wheaton College students.
• *Please continue to pray for our pastoral search.

YOUTH MINISTRIES 

•  *The youth group is still collecting art for Expressing God in the Arts. Please contact Pastor Ben in order to indicate the art that you will be displaying that night.
• *Apr 12, 2008 - Youth group will join the church's 30th anniversary celebration at Wheaton College (no program at church).

MANDARIN MINISTRIES

• *We want to extend our welcome and gratitude to Rev. Lu for his ministering to us these past few days. May the Lord bless his ministry at Chinese Bible Association.
• *Please prepare your hearts for next Sunday’s communion.
• *There will be a Spring Cleaning on Saturday April 5 th at 9:30am. If you can help, please sign up at lobby.
• *Today is the last day to sign up at the lobby for WCAC 30 th Anniversary Dinner ($10 adult, $5 four to twelve, $0 under four).
• Please pray for potential 2009 new Mandarin Elder and ministry board candidates. Pray that the Lord’s will be done.
• God will bless a church that has a vision for building both its software and hardware. While facing the future development of WCAC, we must plan and promote the ministry of church planting. This is a vision that needs serious consideration. May the Lord bless us with His special grace

CANTONESE MINISTRIES
