  • This year’s VBS will take place on the week of June 16-20. Please bring the following items in June for this year's VBS lab: a) 1-inch diameter cardboard tubes from gift wrapping (2 - 3 feet long); b) 2-inch diameter cardboard or plastic tubes from gift wrapping (2 - 3 feet long); c) clean baby food jars.

ENGLISH MINISTRIES  

  • Today, after worship, please join us for prayer in the fellowship hall from 11:00-12:00.
  • Next Sunday in worship, Pastor Ben Tzeng will preach from Ezekiel 34. This will also be a communion service.

YOUTH MINISTRIES 

  • May 3, 2008 – Discussion Group Olympics – The youth group will have their team building event where each discussion group will compete against one another.  It is a great time of fellowship and fun.  The event will start at 4:30pm and end at around 8:30pm (dinner will be provided).  Please invite friends and others to join as well. 
  • Taiwan Summer Mission Trip – The youth group is forming a short term mission team to help in Kaohsiung Taiwan from July 17 to Aug 2, 2008.  A full description with an application can be found in the foyer or printed from the youth group webpage – www.wcacyouth.org.

MANDARIN MINISTRIES

  • *Welcome last Sunday’s new comers Derong Li and Mrs. Li.
  • *Please prepare our hearts for next Sunday’s communion service.
  • The new Adult Sunday school (May to July) will have three classes: Seekers’ Class by Mrs. Lee, The Gospel of Mathew by Shyae-Cheng & Foley, and Minor prophets of the Old Testament by Pastor Lee and Cheng-Sung. We encourage everybody to attend Sunday school to get equipped and blessed by the grace of God.
  • Starting from June, we will have membership classes on the first Sunday after the worship for three consecutive Sundays. Please sign up with Pastor Lee if you are interested.
  • The co-workers from WCAC Caring Ministry and Pastor and Mrs. Lee schedule visitations every week to share the gospel. If you know of anybody who has the need, please contact Pastor Lee and pray about it.
  • 4/29(9:30am) Mandarin Women’s Meeting at Francis Huang’s about “Intimate Relationship”. Please consider joining.

CANTONESE MINISTRIES

  • In order to support our gospel outreach, we will have the following sermon series: 4/27 “A Church That Walks With God”; 5/4 “A Special Blessing” (lunch available); 5/11 “Eight Blessings” (Mother’s Day) . Please pray for the services.
  • Anybody interested in and has a burden for the music ministry (instruments or singing), please sign up with Thomas Luc, who is organizing a music group.
  • 5/11(Sun) 11:00am Mother’s Day gospel Sunday worship. Mrs. Ma will be speaking “ Eight Blessings ”, please pray the message, invitation, and follow-up.
  • Aldersgate Methodist church parking lot is too small for our congregation lately. Please consider using the office parking lot near WCAC or Wheaten Park District parking lot.
  • *Thank God for leading last Saturday’s outreach caring ministry. 70 participated with 50 from Cantonese congregation. We came in contact with 124 families, explained the gospel to 16 individuals, 6 expressed interest, and several families came to Sunday’s Mandarin and Cantonese services.
Last week worship attendance: English 103, Mandarin 124, Cantonese 110, Children 25, whole church: 362
